Style Manual
Shortly after starting at Littelfuse, a publicly traded company of more than 16,000 employees, I noticed a need for greater consistency across the company’s content and technical materials.
I launched an endeavor to develop a style manual for my division. After associates began recommending the manual and forwarding it along to their colleagues in other divisions, the company adopted the manual, making it the official manual for the entire corporation.
I maintained the manual, releasing updates in annual editions. Leading up to each new edition, I corralled a diverse set of stakeholders from each division, which were traditionally siloed and with their own needs and preferences. By collaborating together, we ensured the manual was harmonious to each division’s industry standards while still enabling a cohesive and unified style for the corporate-wide brand.
